Four New Grant Programs Opening May 3rd

HAGERSTOWN, MD (April 28, 2021) – The Washington County Department of Business Development announced last week that a new round of funding programs are being offered in Washington County, Maryland.
 
Applications will be accepted beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, May 3, 2021, via an online portal.
 
There are four grant programs that focus on the industries listed below. Further details and qualifications, including terms and conditions for all four grant programs, can be found under the Economic Recovery section at www.WashCoRises.net.
 
 
Accommodations Providers Grant
 
The Accommodations Providers Grant will award a maximum of up to $25,000 per applicant and funds can be used for normal operations costs, purchase of PPE, sanitation services and any costs to sustain the business.
 
 
Food and Beverage Providers Grant
 
The Food and Beverage Providers Grant will award a maximum of up to $12,000 per applicant and can be used for working capital, purchase of equipment to expand capacity and seating, infrastructure improvements purchase of PPE, purchase of disposable food containers and utensils, sanitation costs and any other costs to sustain your business.
 
 
Online Sales and Teleworking Grant
 
The Online Sales and Teleworking Grant will award up to $5,000 per applicant and will provide assistance in expanding e-commerce services.
 
 
Nonprofit Recovery Grant
 
The Nonprofit Recovery Grant will award up to $25,000 per applicant and can be used for normal operating costs, purchase of PPE, and other costs to sustain your nonprofit business.
 
Please refer to the specific grant application for contact information and answers to questions regarding eligibility criteria or required documentation. Applicants will have two weeks beginning May 3, 2021, to complete and submit an application for consideration. Funding is extremely limited and may ultimately result in approval on a first-come, first-serve basis.
