FLOOD WARNING

The Office of Emergency Management is monitoring all extreme weather events in our county. 

We highly encourage you to enroll in the Washington County, MD Emergency Notification System, where you will receive life-saving updates and critical alerts in real-time. This system is designed to ensure that you stay informed during emergencies when timely information is crucial.

High High threat of high impact winter storm. Potential impacts include significant travel delays, closures, and threats to life and property.  Plan ahead to minimize impact on you and your family.
Moderate Moderate winter storm threat. Potential impacts include significant travel delays and closures. Plan ahead to minimize impact on you and your family.
Enhanced Enhanced winter storm threat. Increased potential of more significant travel impacts and more closures.
Slight Slight winter storm threat. If threat materializes, may cause travel disruptions.
None No significant winter storm threat is currently expected. However, light wintry precipitation may still be possible.

Liberal Leave is in effective for Washington County Government

LIBERAL LEAVE IS IN EFFECT FOR WASHINGTON COUNTY GOVERNMENT

Liberal leave is in effect for all non-essential personal on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, until noon. Essential personnel are expected to fulfill their duties as usual.

The starting time for today’s Board of County Commissioners meeting will be reevaluated at 9:00 am.

For those required to travel, exercise caution on the roadways. If driving is necessary, ensure your vehicle is completely cleared, drive at a reduced speed, practice caution, and avoid crowding or passing plows.
