Eat Fresh, Shop Local! Support Washington County Farmers’ Markets

HAGERSTOWN, MD (July 15, 2021) – With summer in full swing, the Washington County Department of Business Development encourages you to eat fresh and shop local at farmers’ markets this season! Washington County is home to 16 different farmers’ markets, in addition to various farm stands throughout the county. When you buy from a farmers market, not only are you supporting a local farmer, you know where your food came from.

For those who have a SNAP/EBT card, when you spend up to $10 at a farmers market, you receive an additional $10 to spend for free. This match is part of the Maryland Money Market, which is available at seven of the farmers’ market locations.
