As a critical component of Washington County’s infrastructure, the Department of Water Quality’s mission is clear, to protect the environment and public health by providing safe, reliable, and cost effective water and waste water services in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations to the citizens of Washington County.

Liberal Leave is in effective for Washington County Government

LIBERAL LEAVE IS IN EFFECT FOR WASHINGTON COUNTY GOVERNMENT

Washington County Government would like to announce liberal leave is in effect for all non-essential Washington County employees due to the impending weather forecast and Washington County Public Schools operating on a 2-hour delay tomorrow Thursday, January 20, 2022. County employees who are designated as “Essential” are expected to perform their duties as they normally would. Employees who can telework should report at their usual time.
 
The County encourages those who must travel to exercise caution while on roadways. If driving is essential, clear your vehicle completely, drive slowly, use caution, and don’t crowd or pass plows.
