Washington County Reminds Community of Upcoming 2026 Groundhog Day Celebration

HAGERSTOWN, MD (January 12, 2026) – The Washington County Department of Business and Economic Development is reminding residents and visitors of the upcoming 2026 Groundhog Day Celebration, scheduled for Friday, January 30, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Washington County Agricultural Education Center, located at 7313 Sharpsburg Pike, Boonsboro, MD.
This annual winter tradition attracts more than 350 attendees each year and celebrates Washington County’s agricultural community through local food, family-friendly activities, and opportunities to shop directly from area farms and value-added agricultural producers. The event will feature live acoustic entertainment by Mike Newberry of Wake the Neighbors and More More More, as well as family-friendly activities, product sampling opportunities, and a comfortable indoor venue that encourages consistent attendance and engagement.
Community members are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.
