Washington County Releases Final Draft of Comprehensive Plan – We Want Your Feedback!

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MD (October 28, 2024) – The Washington County Planning Commission is pleased to announce the release of the final draft of the Comprehensive Plan for the County. The purpose of this document is to develop a community vision for future land use and growth management. This release will begin a 60-day comment period where we are asking you, our stakeholders, to review this document and provide us with feedback on the Plan.

The Comprehensive Plan addresses key areas such as land use, transportation, housing, economic development, and environmental sustainability. It reflects input from community members, stakeholders, and experts, ensuring that it aligns with the needs and aspirations of our community.

Your feedback is critical to the success of the Plan and will drive the decision-making process for many years to come.

How can you get involved?

The deadline for public comments is January 31, 2025. Following the hearing and public comment period, the final plan will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners of Washington County for review and approval.
