Washington County is Seeking Applicants for the Adult Public Guardianship Review Board

HAGERSTOWN, MD (February 29, 2024) – The Washington County Board of County Commissioners is seeking applicants interested in serving on the Adult Public Guardianship Review Board.

The Adult Public Guardianship Review Board is instrumental in the welfare of persons with disabilities and is an interdisciplinary team that acts as consultants to the public guardians.

Board duties are to review at least semi-annually, the guardianship cases held by any public agency.

Meetings for 2024 include March 1, May 3, September 6, November 1, all at 1:30 p.m. via teleconference. Meetings are closed to the public because the records and information upon which the Board relies includes information about the provision of social services. Social services records are confidential and prohibited from disclosure pursuant to Md. Code Ann., Human Services, Sect. 1-201.
