Washington County is Accepting Applications for the 2024-2025 Farm of the Year Award

HAGERSTOWN, MD (August 27, 2024) – The Washington County Department of Business and Economic Development announces applications are now being accepted for the 2024-2025 Washington County Farm of the Year award.

Washington County, Maryland is home to many rich agricultural lands yielding essential products and commodities that support our community, state, and nation. The Washington County Farm of the Year award is designed to recognize and honor one outstanding farm and farm family exemplifying this rich agricultural heritage through proficiency of production, agricultural and community organization involvement, conservation and preservation practices, and technological advances. The Farm of the Year award application is open to all farms located primarily in Washington County and generates an annual gross income of $2,500 or more. Applications must be submitted by September 14, 2024, at 11:59 pm.
