Washington County is Accepting Applications for Civilian Appointment to the Trial Board

HAGERSTOWN, MD (April 18, 2024) The Washington County Police Accountability Board is seeking civilians to serve on Washington County’s Trial Board. The Trial Board must be composed of three members, one being a civilian who is not a member of the Administrative Charge Committee.

The Police Accountability Board is accepting applications from civilians to maintain a pool of qualified candidates. Applications will be accepted until an adequate pool of candidates is attained. Citizens interested in serving on the Trial Board are encouraged to apply early in the process. All candidates who are appointed must undergo training from the Maryland Police Training and Standards Commission.
