HAGERSTOWN, MD (July 12, 2022) – The Washington County Highway Department announces a road closure on Independence Road between Route 40 to the spur for clean-up from a severe storm that swept through the area this afternoon.
No serious damage or injuries were reported, but crews are working to reopen the roadway as soon as possible. The County encourages drivers to proceed with caution while in this area.
