HAGERSTOWN, MD (July 11, 2022) – Norfolk Southern Railroad has advised the County that it will be closing Taylors Landing Road and Tommytown Road this afternoon at the railroad crossings for needed track work. Track crossing work will begin on July 12, 2022, and is anticipated to be completed on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, weather permitting.

 

Motorists will still be able to reach properties on either side of the crossing, but will not be able to drive across the tracks. Detour routes will be posted to direct traffic around the closure.

 

Motorists approaching the closure will encounter cones, barricades, detour signs, and other traffic control devices.

 

Emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through while the closure is in effect, but will be able to respond to calls on either side of the railroad tracks.
