Public Invited to Review and Comment on Draft Hagerstown Safety Action Plan

HAGERSTOWN, MD (April 3, 2025) – The Hagerstown/Eastern Panhandle Metropolitan Planning Organization (HEPMPO) and the City of Hagerstown invite public review and comment on the Draft Hagerstown Safety Action Plan. This comprehensive safety initiative aims to reduce and eliminate serious-injury and fatal crashes for all roadway users within the City of Hagerstown.

The public comment period will be open from April 2 to May 2, 2025. Copies of the Draft Plan are available for review at the following locations:

  • Washington County Free Library – Hagerstown
  • Online download: www.hepmpo.com or www.hagerstownmd.org
  • By request from the HEPMPO office at 33 W. Washington St., Suite 402, Hagerstown, MD 21740 during business hours (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Public Meeting Details

A public meeting on the Draft Plan will be held on April 23, 2025, from 5:00 – 6:30 PM at the Washington County Free Library – Hagerstown (Conference Room 334). A virtual attendance option will also be available. A formal presentation will be posted online and presented during the meeting.
