HAGERSTOWN, MD (February 17, 2021) – Due to the impending weather forecast, Washington County Government would like to announce liberal leave is in effect for all non-essential Washington County employees tomorrow, Thursday, February 18, 2021. County employees who are designated as “Essential” are expected to perform their duties as they normally would. Employees who telework should report at their usual time.

 

Transit will operate on a normal schedule, however, routes may be modified due to road conditions.

 

The 40 West Landfill and all transfer stations will open at normal operating hours. 

 

The County encourages those who must travel to exercise caution while on roadways. If driving is essential, clear your vehicle completely, drive slowly, use caution, and don’t crowd or pass plows.
