HAGERSTOWN, MD (May 1, 2026) – The Washington County Highway Department would like to share that Norfolk Southern will close the railroad crossing on Massey Boulevard beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026, through Thursday, May 8, 2026.

The crossing will be fully closed to through traffic for the duration of the work as crews complete intersection upgrades and necessary repairs.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead, use alternate routes, and expect delays in the surrounding area. Local access will be maintained where possible, but through traffic will not be permitted across the tracks during the closure.

Drivers are reminded to follow posted detours and exercise caution in and around the work zone.
