Forty West Landfill Temporarily Unable to Accept Used Motor Oil

HAGERSTOWN, MD (May 31, 2023) – The Washington County Department of Solid Waste & Recycling announces the Forty West Landfill will temporarily be unable to accept motor oil. The Landfill’s used oil tank is currently undergoing much-needed repairs, cleaning, painting, and updated labeling. The work is anticipated to be completed in less than two weeks. Updates will be posted on the Washington County Government website.

Washington County citizens can take their used motor oil to any of our Transfer stations or to their local Auto Zone. Please keep the quantity to a minimum.
