Washington County Completes Senior Fitness Facility Renovation at Senior Center Campus

HAGERSTOWN, MD (May 30, 2023) – Washington County Government announces the completion of the Washington County Senior Activities Center Fitness Facility renovation, located at 535 East Franklin Street. The County renovated a 2,000 square foot outbuilding on the Senior Activities Center campus for the Washington County Commission on Aging to expand its physical activity space.

With over 1,300 active members, fitness classes at the Senior Activities Center have been routinely filling to maximum capacity, and there have been waitlists to use exercise equipment. The Fitness Facility has 24 pieces of equipment, including ellipticals, treadmills, fitness bikes, fitness steppers, and more.
