| WASHINGTON COUNTY, MD (September 21, 2026) – The Washington County Department of Business and Economic Development is pleased to announce that the application period for the 2026-2027 Washington County Farm of the Year award has been extended. This extension provides time for additional farms and nominators to participate in this recognition of agricultural excellence. Washington County continues to celebrate its rich agricultural heritage, and the Farm of the Year award honors outstanding farms and farm families for their contributions to production, community involvement, conservation, and innovation. To ensure that all interested parties have the opportunity to prepare and submit their applications, the deadline has been extended to Friday, September 25, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. noon.
