TRAFFIC ALERT: Roadway Improvements Scheduled for Halfway Boulevard Beginning June 11

HAGERSTOWN, MD (June 4, 2025) – The Washington County Division of Engineering announces that roadway improvements on Halfway Boulevard will begin Wednesday, June 11, 2025, as part of the County’s Fiscal Year 2025 Pavement Maintenance Program.

The planned improvements will include milling, hot mix asphalt overlay, and line striping along the stretch of Halfway Boulevard from Hopewell Road to Newgate Boulevard. Construction activities are scheduled to take place from June 11 through June 27, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.

During the project, lane closures will be in effect, and minor delays are expected. Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the work zone and to follow all posted signage and flagging operations.
