Washington County Transit Offers Free Fares on National Transit Driver Appreciation Day, Monday, March 18, 2024

HAGERSTOWN, MD (March 15, 2024) – The Washington County Transit Department is excited to announce that all transit fares will be waived for riders on National Transit Driver Appreciation Day, Monday, March 18, 2024. This special initiative is a token of gratitude to our dedicated transit drivers who work tirelessly to keep our community moving safely and efficiently.

Transit Driver Appreciation Day is an opportunity to recognize the hard work and dedication of transit operators who play a vital role in our transportation system. By offering free fares for all riders, we aim to show our appreciation for the invaluable service provided by our transit drivers.

On March 18, 2024, riders can enjoy complimentary fares on all Washington County Transit routes, including fixed routes and paratransit services. This offer is valid for the entire day, providing an opportunity for residents to experience the convenience and accessibility of public transportation.
