Washington County, MD (March 20, 2025) – The Washington County Board of County Commissioners announces that the countywide burn ban will be lifted on Friday, March 21, 2025, at noon.

Residents are reminded to exercise caution when conducting any outdoor burning and to adhere to all applicable local and state fire regulations. Best practices include:

  • Never leaving fires unattended
  • Keeping a water source nearby
  • If the wind is blowing, don’t burn
