| HAGERSTOWN, MD (January 5, 2026) – The Washington County Department of Business and Economic Development is reminding residents and visitors of the upcoming 2026 Groundhog Day Celebration, scheduled for Friday, January 30, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Washington County Agricultural Education Center, located at 7313 Sharpsburg Pike, Boonsboro, MD. This annual winter tradition welcomes more than 350 attendees and highlights Washington County’s agricultural community through local food, family-friendly activities, and opportunities to shop directly from area farms and value-added agricultural producers.The evening will feature live acoustic music by Mike Newberry of Wake the Neighbors and More More More, along with children’s activities, product sampling, and a warm indoor venue that provides a festive atmosphere and consistent foot traffic.Community members are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.
