Washington County Parks Open

HAGERSTOWN, MD (May 2, 2022) – The Washington County Department of Parks & Recreation announces all county-owned parks will officially open on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Parks are open daily from 9:00 a.m. until sunset.

County-owned parks include:

Renovations are being completed at the following county-owned parks:

Restrooms may not be available early in the season due to all five (5) parks receiving restroom renovations. Other than Chestnut Grove, porta pots/primitives are located at each park. We expect to have operational restrooms in all parks within the next couple of weeks. We ask for your patience during the renovations.

New playground equipment:

Pen Mar Park: New equipment installation is complete. The park will open with an exciting new feature, a double zip line.
Marty Snook Park Pavilion 4 & Little League areas: New equipment installation is complete.
Camp Harding Park: Equipment is currently being installed.
Clear Spring Park: Installation is scheduled to begin this week
Chestnut Grove Park: Installation is scheduled to begin next week
Marty Snook Park Fitness Equipment: A new shade structure will be installed.
