Volunteer Opportunities for Washington County Boards/Commissions/Committees

HAGERSTOWN, MD (April 15, 2026) – The Washington County Board of County Commissioners is looking for County residents interested in volunteering to serve on its various boards, commissions and committees. Information on each board, including its duties and meeting time, is located online at http://www.washco-md.net/commissioners/boards.shtm. If you are interested in submitting an application, please click the link below. You will need to fill out a separate application for each Board/Commission/Committee that you are interested in applying for.  Applications are kept on file for two years and are considered when vacancies occur. Listed below are boards with upcoming member term expirations:

Area Agency on Aging
Meets: Bi-monthly on the third Friday at 11:00 a.m., Commission on Aging Offices, 140 West Washington Street, Hagerstown
Diversity and Inclusion Committee
Meets: Second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m., 100 West Washington Street, Room 1301, Hagerstown
Historic District Commission
Meets: First Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m., 100 West Washington Street, Second Floor Workshop Room
Local Management Board
Meets as necessary 6 times per year
