| HAGERSTOWN, MD (April 3, 2019) – The Washington County Department of Business Development is excited to announce it has been selected to receive an award from the Maryland Economic Development Association (MEDA).
The MEDA Awards will be held on April 29, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay in Cambridge, Maryland, at which time the Business Development and Public Relations teams will accept an award in the category of Economic Development Marketing for small community. The award will recognize the Making Connections Campaign.
Washington County Government launched Making Connections in the fall of 2018, which brings together several departments within Washington County Government to work with private and public businesses in forming partnerships. The mission of this marketing campaign is to help improve economic development, public safety, transportation, and pedestrian access.
