Public Information Meeting: Agricultural Education Center Multipurpose Indoor Building

Hagerstown, MD (August 8, 2024)  The Washington County Agricultural Education Center is pleased to announce a public information meeting regarding the proposed Agricultural Education Center Multipurpose Indoor Building. This meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 6:00 PM, and will be held at the Washington County Agriculture Education Center Multipurpose Building located at 7313 Sharpsburg Pike Boonsboro MD 21713.

This is a rescheduled meeting from April 17, 2024. Since then, the project has been evaluated and a new site location has been proposed. The meeting will begin with a project overview followed by breakout groups with project team members. During the meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the latest concepts for the Agricultural Education Center Multipurpose Indoor Building. Various materials, including floor plans, renderings, and site concept plans, will be available to provide insight into the proposed project. While the overall building concept has been defined, design on individual building elements has not yet occurred, making this meeting the ideal time to gather feedback.

The building will be capable of hosting special events, agriculture and animal shows, and recreational activities expanding the Agriculture Center’s capacity and ability to host year-round activities. Below are conceptual images that have been prepared.
