Marty Snook Park Pool Temporarily Closed for Repairs

HAGERSTOWN, MD (July 5, 2023) – The Washington County Parks and Recreation Department regrets to announce the temporary closure of Marty Snook Pool due to an ongoing issue with a crack. As a result, the decision was made on Monday to commence the draining process, with the goal of resolving the problem and reopening the pool later this week.

The crack in the pool has prompted the team to take swift action in order to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all patrons. Our dedicated staff is currently working diligently to address the issue and make the necessary repairs as quickly as possible.

While we understand the inconvenience this may cause, the safety and well-being of our visitors remain our top priority. We sincerely apologize for any disruption to your plans and encourage all residents and visitors to consider utilizing the nearby pool facilities at the City of Hagerstown and the Town of Williamsport during this temporary closure.

The Parks and Recreations Department is committed to providing a high-quality experience for all guests. We are working closely with pool experts to expedite the repair process and minimize any further inconvenience.
