Liberal Leave is in effective for Washington County Government
UPDATE: Due to inclement weather and WCPS closing for the day, liberal leave has been extended to all day for non-essential personnel. The starting time for today’s Board of County Commissioners meeting will be reevaluated at 9:00 am.

HAGERSTOWN, MD (February 13, 2024) – Washington County Government would like to announce liberal leave is in effect for all non-essential employees until noon due to the inclement weather and Washington County Public Schools operating on a 2-hour delay. Essential personnel are expected to fulfill their duties as usual.

Today’s Board of County Commissioner’s Meeting will be delayed until 11:00 am.

The County encourages those who must travel to exercise caution while on roadways. If driving is essential, clear your vehicle completely, drive slowly, use caution, and don’t crowd or pass plows.

We will update the public if any changes occur. Please monitor Washington County Government’s website and social media for updates.
