2025-2026 Washington County Farm of the Year Accepting Nominations

HAGERSTOWN, MD (July 11, 2025) – The Washington County Department of Business and Economic Development is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2025–2026 Washington County Farm of the Year Award.

Washington County, MD is proud to be home to a vibrant agricultural community, with farmlands that produce essential goods supporting local, state, and national economies. The Farm of the Year Award honors one exceptional farm and farm family that exemplify excellence in agricultural production, community and organizational involvement, conservation and preservation practices, and innovation through the use of technology.

The award is open to farms located primarily in Washington County, MD that generate a minimum annual gross income of $2,500. Applications must be submitted no later than Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
