TRAFFIC ALERT: Road Closure on Crystal Falls Drive

HAGERSTOWN, MD (June 23, 2023) – On behalf of the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT), the Washington County Highway Department announces an upcoming road closure on Crystal Falls Drive under I-70.

To facilitate a necessary bridge project on I-70, Crystal Falls Drive will be temporarily closed beginning the morning of Saturday, June 24, 2023, and will remain closed until the project is completed.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we strive to enhance the safety and quality of our road infrastructure. Alternative routes will be available for motorists, and appropriate signage will be placed to guide traffic accordingly. The alternate routes are as follows:

  • For motorists traveling south on Crystal Falls Drive, detour signs will be posted to travel to Ridenour Road, onto Stottlemeyer Road, and then to US 40.
  • For motorists traveling on US 40 East to travel north on Crystal Falls Drive, detour signs will be posted to travel to Stottlemeyer Road, onto Ridenour Road, and then to Crystal Falls Drive.
