Washington County Landfill Discontinues Styrofoam Recycling Program

Stryofoam Recycling is no longer accepted at county landfills
HAGERSTOWN, MD (July 15, 2020) – The Washington County Department of Solid Waste and Recycling announces the recycling of styrofoam at 40 West Landfill will be discontinued effective immediately. The County began the styrofoam recycling program in 2010.
 
As a reminder, no styrofoam is accepted in County recycling bins. For specific questions regarding recycling, please contact Recycling Coordinator Anthony Drury at 240-313-2796.
