| WASHINGTON COUNTY, MD (January 27, 2026) – Washington County Government announces that liberal leave is in effect for all non-essential employees until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, due to Washington County Public Schools being closed. Essential personnel are expected to report as scheduled and fulfill their duties as usual. Transit will operate on a normal schedule, however, routes may be modified. The 40 West Landfill and all transfer stations will open at normal operating hours. Please monitor Washington County Government’s website and social media channels for the latest information. |
