Washington County Agricultural Innovation and Equipment Grant Opening Today

HAGERSTOWN, MD (November 25, 2024) – The Washington County Department of Business and Economic Development is pleased to announce the launch of the Washington County Agricultural Innovation and Equipment Grant, a funding opportunity for farmers looking to expand or diversify their operations. Starting today, Monday, November 25, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. EST, farmers, agricultural businesses, and farm owners in Washington County are invited to apply for grants supporting the growth and advancement of their operations.

Applications will be available on the Department of Business and Economic Development’s website at Agricultural Innovation and Equipment Grant – Washington County. The grant application window will remain open from November 25, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. EST until December 6, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. EST.

Eligible applicants may request funding ranging from $1,000 to $25,000. Potential uses for these grants include business planning, expanding marketing efforts, developing value-added products, enhancing conservation and research initiatives, upgrading agricultural structures, and purchasing essential equipment or fixtures.

Applications will be reviewed and evaluated according to predefined criteria and prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis. Eligibility requirements, funding limitations, and guidelines on grant usage apply.
