The Washington County Department of Business and Economic Development is pleased to announce that the Washington County Board of County Commissioners has approved continued funding for the Agricultural Innovation and Equipment Grant. The second, expanded three‑year cycle totals $345,000, awarding $115,000 per year. The 2026 grant cycle marks the first year of this new funding round. 

Grant Cycle Open October 5, 2026- October 30, 2026  

Applicants can apply to receive the grant in amounts of $1,000.00 to $25,000.00.      

Grant request examples include business planning. expanding marketing efforts, expanding or adding value-added endeavors, enhancing conservation and research, upgrading production buildings or structures used exclusively for agricultural purposes, and purchase of equipment or major fixtures.     

Applications will be available starting October 5, 2026, at 8:00 a.m., EST, and will remain open until October 30, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., EST.      

Completed applications will be processed and awarded based on their total score. In addition to scoring, awards will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, emphasizing the importance of submitting applications early. Eligibility criteria, grant performance, fund usage, and limitations apply.
