Temporary Closure of Washington County Transit Transfer Center

HAGERSTOWN, MD (July 9, 2025) – Washington County Transit announces that the Transit Transfer Center will be temporarily closed to pedestrian traffic on Saturday, July 12, 2025, to allow for sealing and striping of the facility surface. Maintenance activities will begin after 3:00 p.m.

After 3:00 p.m. on July 12, all passengers must use the sidewalk along Wareham Alley (located behind the Transfer Center) for boarding and alighting buses.

We advise all riders to plan accordingly and exercise caution in the area during this maintenance period. This work is part of our continued efforts to maintain a safe, clean, and accessible environment for all transit users.

The Transit Transfer Center is scheduled to reopen for regular service on Monday, July 14, 2025.

This project is weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather or unsuitable surface conditions, the work may be postponed and rescheduled.

Washington County Transit appreciates the public’s cooperation and understanding as we perform these essential improvements.
