Bottled Water Distribution for Van Lear and Tammany Manor Residents Due to Water Service Disruption

HAGERSTOWN, MD (September 14, 2024) – The Washington County Office of Emergency Management is pleased to announce that bottled water will be available for residents of Van Lear and Tammany Manor affected by the recent water main break. Residents may pick up bottled water at the Halfway Fire Department, located at 11114 Lincoln Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21740, starting immediately.

Water service for residents in Van Lear and Tammany Manor is expected to be fully restored by approximately midnight tonight. All other residents outside these areas should start to see their water service return to normal.

Important Information:

  • No boil advisory will be necessary.
  • If your water appears cloudy when you first turn it on, please let it run until it clears.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time as crews work diligently to restore water service.

  • Halfway Fire Department, 11114 Lincoln Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21740
