Washington County Government Closed for Juneteenth

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MD (June 13, 2025) – In observance of Juneteenth, Washington County Government offices will be closed on Thursday, June 19, 2025. County services will operate as listed below:

HAGERSTOWN REGIONAL AIRPORT

The Hagerstown Regional Airport administrative offices will be closed on Thursday, June 19, 2025 and re-open on Friday, June 20, 2025.

Airport terminal will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Allegiant air services will continue as scheduled on June 19, 2025:

  • 3:29 pm arrival and 8:49 pm departure for flights to St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE)
  • 4:19 pm departure and 7:59 pm arrival for flights to Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR)

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

Washington County Environmental Management offices will be closed on Thursday, June 19, 2025. All services at Forty West Landfill, and all other transfer stations, will be closed on Thursday, June 19, 2025. All services will resume on Friday, June 20, 2025.

TRANSIT

Washington County Transit Services will operate on schedule Thursday, June 19, 2025.

BLACK ROCK GOLF COURSE

Black Rock Golf Course will operate as normal on Thursday, June 19, 2025.

TREASURER’S OFFICE

Washington County Treasurer’s Office will be closed on Thursday, June 19, 2025 and re-open on Friday, June 20, 2025.

PUBLIC SAFETY

All essential public safety services will remain in effect.
