Temporary Closure of Washington County Government Offices at 747 Northern Avenue Due to Power Outage

Washington County Government announces that, effective today, April 24, 2025 the following departments located at 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, MD will be temporarily closed from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. due to a power outage:

  • Permits & Inspections
  • Engineering
  • Planning & Zoning

Potomac Edison is currently on site working to restore power to the facility. Normal operations are expected to resume once power is restored.

We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding during this temporary closure.
