For information concerning a specific case, defendant or other interested party, go to Maryland Judiciary Case Search www.casesearch.courts.state.md.us which provides public access to the case records of the Maryland Judiciary.  There you will be able to search and view the case records maintained by the Maryland Circuit and District Courts.

Searching the records of a specific case will let you access up-to-date information on that case, including such things as the specific charge(s) filed against the defendant, the date, the procedural history and current status of the case and, perhaps most importantly, the time and location of the next scheduled hearing.

Driving Directions to Circuit Courthouse

From I-81, northbound or southbound
Take Exit 6A onto U.S. Route 40 East toward Hagerstown. Follow Route 40 East, which becomes Washington Street, until you come to the intersection with Jonathan Street. The Courthouse is on the southeast corner of the intersection of Washington and Jonathan Streets.

From the west on I-70
At Exit 26, take I-81 North toward Harrisburg. From I-81, take Exit 6A onto U.S. Route 40 East toward Hagerstown. Follow Route 40 East, which becomes Washington Street, until you come to the intersection with Jonathan Street. The Courthouse is on the southeast corner of the intersection of Washington and Jonathan Streets.

From the east on I-70
Take Exit 32B, Route 40 West toward Hagerstown. Follow Route 40 West, which becomes Franklin Street, to the intersection with Prospect Street. Turn left onto Prospect Street and go one block to the intersection with W. Washington Street. Turn left onto W. Washington Street and go one block to the intersection with Jonathan Street. The Courthouse is on the southeast corner of the intersection of Washington and Jonathan Streets.

LIBERAL LEAVE IS IN EFFECT FOR WASHINGTON COUNTY GOVERNMENT

Liberal leave is in effect for all non-essential personal on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, until noon. Essential personnel are expected to fulfill their duties as usual.

The starting time for today’s Board of County Commissioners meeting will be reevaluated at 9:00 am.

For those required to travel, exercise caution on the roadways. If driving is necessary, ensure your vehicle is completely cleared, drive at a reduced speed, practice caution, and avoid crowding or passing plows.
