Washington County Recognizes Brandi Naugle for Dual Achievements in Professional Certification and Educational Attainment

HAGERSTOWN, MD (November 28, 2023) – The Washington County Board of County Commissioners proudly acknowledges and commends Brandi Naugle, Buyer, for her outstanding accomplishments in both professional certification and educational attainment.

Brandi Naugle has been awarded the esteemed Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) certification by the Universal Public Purchasing Certification Council (UPPCC). The County, an active member of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing, Inc. (NIGP), recognizes the significance of this certification in upholding the highest standards in public-sector purchasing. NIGP, a national non-profit organization, supports professionals in the field by offering essential services such as education, professional networking, research, and technical assistance. With 72 affiliate chapters and over 1,300 agency members across the United States and Canada, NIGP represents a vast community of over 13,500 individuals dedicated to public procurement.

In addition to her CPPO certification, Brandi Naugle has achieved academic excellence by obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) in 2023. Completing the rigorous program, which requires 120 credits, Brandi has demonstrated a commitment to maintaining a minimum grade point average of 2.0 overall and achieving a minimum grade of C in major-related courses. UMGC’s online bachelor’s degree in business administration equips individuals with a comprehensive knowledge base to compete effectively in the evolving job market.
