Washington County Government Closed for New Year’s

HAGERSTOWN, MD (December 26, 2024) – In observance of New Year’s, Washington County Government offices will be closed on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, and Wednesday, January 1, 2025. County services will operate as listed below:

HAGERSTOWN REGIONAL AIRPORT

The Hagerstown Regional Airport administrative offices will be closed on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, and Wednesday, January 1, 2025, and re-open on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

Allegiant air services will continue as scheduled:

December 31, 2024: 9:36.m. arrival and 10:26 a.m. departure for flights to Orlando/Sanford International Airport (SFB)
January 1, 2025: No scheduled flights

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

Washington County Environmental Management offices will be closed on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, and Wednesday, January 1, 2025. All services at Forty West Landfill, and all other transfer stations, will be closed on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, and Wednesday, January 1, 2025. All services will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

TRANSIT

Washington County Transit Services will close at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, and remain closed on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.

12:15 p.m. Smithsburg

1:15 p.m. Premium Outlets

1:15 p.m. Robinwood

1:45 p.m. Long Meadow via Locust

1:45 p.m. Maugansville

1:45 p.m. Valley Mall

1:45 p.m. West End

1:45 p.m. Williamsport

2:15 p.m. Funkstown

2:15 p.m. Long Meadow via Eastern

Regular bus services will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

BLACK ROCK GOLF COURSE

Black Rock Golf Course will operate as normal on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, and Wednesday, January 1, 2025.

PUBLIC SAFETY

All essential public safety services will remain in effect.
