Washington County Government Closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

HAGERSTOWN, MD (January 16, 2026) – In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Washington County Government offices will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026. County services will operate as listed below:
HAGERSTOWN REGIONAL AIRPORT
The Hagerstown Regional Airportadministrative offices will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026, and re-open on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
Allegiant air services will continue as scheduled:
Monday, January 19, 2026: 6:12 p.m. arrival and 7:02 p.m. departure for flights to Orlando/Sanford International Airport (SFB)
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
Washington County Environmental Management offices will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026. All services at Forty West Landfill, and all other transfer stations, will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026. All services will resume on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
TRANSIT
Washington County Transit Services will be running on a normal weekday schedule on Monday, January 19, 2026.
BLACK ROCK GOLF COURSE
Black Rock Golf Course will operate as normal on Monday, January 19, 2026.
TREASURER’S OFFICE
Washington County Treasurer’s Office will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026,
STATE’S ATTORNEY
The State’s Attorney’s Office will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026,
PUBLIC SAFETY
All essential public safety services will remain in effect.
