Washington County Government Closed for Independence Day

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MD (June 27, 2025) – In observance of Independence Day, Washington County Government offices will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025. County services will operate as listed below:

HAGERSTOWN REGIONAL AIRPORT

The Hagerstown Regional Airport administrative offices will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025, and re-open on Monday, July 7, 2025.

Airport terminal will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Allegiant air services will continue as scheduled on July 4, 2025:

  • 3:21 pm arrival and 8:42 pm departure for flights to Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB)
  • 4:11 pm departure and 7:52 pm arrival for flights to Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR)

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

Washington County Environmental Management offices will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025. All services at Forty West Landfill, and all other transfer stations, will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025. All services will resume on Saturday, July 5, 2025.

TRANSIT

Washington County Transit Services will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025. All services will resume on Saturday, July 5, 2024.

BLACK ROCK GOLF COURSE

Black Rock Golf Course will operate as normal on Friday, July 4, 2025.

TREASURER’S OFFICE

Washington County Treasurer’s Office will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025, and re-open on Monday, July 7, 2025.

PUBLIC SAFETY

All essential public safety services will remain in effect.
