THE WASHINGTON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS IS SEEKING APPLICANTS TO SERVE ON THE ADULT PUBLIC GUARDIANSHIP REVIEW BOARD

HAGERSTOWN, MD (August 12, 2025) – The Washington County Board of County Commissioners is currently accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on the Adult Public Guardianship Review Board.

Positions with upcoming availability are:

  • Public Health Nurse Representative
  • Psychiatrist
  • Local Non-Profit Representative
  • Community Representative.

 

The Adult Public Guardianship Review Board is instrumental in the welfare of persons with disabilities and is an interdisciplinary team that acts as consultants to the public guardians.

Board duties are to review at least semi-annually, the guardianship cases held by any public agency.

Meetings for 2025 include March 7, May 2, September 5, November 7, all at 1:30 p.m. via teleconference. Meetings are closed to the public because the records and information upon which the Board relies includes information about the provision of social services. Social services records are confidential and prohibited from disclosure pursuant to Md. Code Ann., Human Services, Sect. 1-201.
