Seeking Applicants for the Board of Electrical Examiners and Supervisors

HAGERSTOWN, MD (September 13, 2023) – The Washington County Board of County Commissioners is seeking applicants interested in serving on the Board of Electrical Examiners and Supervisors.

Applicants shall be competent individuals who are familiar with the electrical business and shall have been residents of Washington County for at least five years. One individual shall be selected from an electric public utility company doing business in Washington County, Two individuals shall be from among the duly licensed Master Electricians in the county, and one member shall be appointed at-large

Pursuant to Maryland Code, Business Occupations and Professions, Title 6, and Title 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Washington County, the Board shall have authority to review applications, administer examinations, issue licenses, and formulate rules and regulations governing the performance of electrical work in Washington County.

All members who serve on County boards are subject to the Maryland Public Ethics Law.
