LIBERAL LEAVE IN EFFECT FOR WASHINGTON COUNTY GOVERNMENT

HAGERSTOWN, MD (January 6, 2025) – Washington County Government announces that liberal leave is in effect for all non-essential employees until noon on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, due to inclement weather and the closure of Washington County Public Schools. Essential personnel are expected to report as scheduled and fulfill their duties as usual.

The County urges anyone who must travel to exercise caution on roadways. If driving is necessary, please ensure your vehicle is fully cleared, drive slowly, use caution, and avoid crowding or passing snowplows.
