HAGERSTOWN, MD (March 30, 2021) – To continue their support of providing assistance to small businesses who have suffered financial hardships during COVID-19, the Maryland Department of Commerce has received $10 million from the State of Maryland to administer the Maryland Small Business COVID-19 RELIEF Grant Program.
 
This grant will offer working capital to assist certain Maryland small businesses whose operations were disrupted and impacted due to COVID-19. Grant assistance is intended to provide interim relief complementing actions with its bank, business interruption insurance, and financial partners.
 
**Applications opened March 30th at 9:00 a.m. and will close April 6th at 11:50 p.m.**
 
Funding is extremely limited and may ultimately result in approval on a first-come, first-serve basis. The application process will be open for a limited period, and the Maryland Department of Commerce anticipates significant interest in this program.
