2022 Annual Park in Dark

HAGERSTOWN, MD (October 12, 2022) – The Washington County Parks and Recreation Department invites you to the Annual Park at Dark event. The event will be held this Friday, October 14, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington County Agricultural Education Center.
 
Park at Dark is an age appropriate activity suited best for pre-school and elementary school aged children. The family friendly atmosphere will host Halloween themed activities that are meant to be less scary, and more fun. Some of the activities that will be available include: games, exciting candy, spooky stories, great hayrides, scarecrow stuffing (bring your own clothes), coloring contests, costume contests, scooter rides, moon bounces, and temporary tattoos. Concessions will be available for additional fees during the event. 
 
Tickets are limited so register now! Everyone 1 year and older must have a ticket to enter. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times!
 
Tickets must be purchased in advance as no tickets will be sold at the event. Ticket sells will close on Friday, October 14, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. 
 
Participant Child (1 year – 12 years old): $7.00
Adult Spectator/Escort (13 years+): Free

6:00 p.m. – Program Opens & Activities Begin
6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. – Costume Contest Judging
6:15 p.m. – Hayride Begins
7:15 p.m. – Costume Contest Ends
7:30 p.m. Coloring Station Ends (Contest)
7:30 p.m. – Last Hayride for the Evening Boards
7:45 p.m. – Bounce House Closes
7:45 p.m. – Remaining Activities Stop
7:45 p.m. – Costume Showcase & Parade
7:45 p.m. – Contest Prizes Awarded (Must Be Present to Win)
8:00 p.m. – Conclusion
 
Moonlight Magic Shows:
  • 6:15 p.m.
  • 6:45 p.m.
 
Spooky Stories:
  • 6:30 p.m.
  • 7:00 p.m.
