Clothing and Shoe Collection Now Offered at Landfill

HAGERSTOWN, MD (July 24, 2019) – The Washington County Solid Waste Department notifies citizens there are now Clothing and Shoe Collection bins located at 40 West Landfill and the Hancock Convenience Center. Additional collection bins will be coming in the near future.

Donation stations are being facilitated by the following local organizations:

Citizens are encouraged to drop-off new and gently used clothing and shoes to these bin locations in lieu of throwing items in the trash.

Liberal leave is in effect for all non-essential personal on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, until noon. Essential personnel are expected to fulfill their duties as usual.
