Washington County Election Board Announces Opening of Public Voting for “I Voted” Sticker Art Contest

HAGERSTOWN, MD (January 5, 2026) – The Washington County Board of Elections is pleased to announce that public voting is now open for the Washington County “I Voted” Sticker Art Contest, a creative initiative designed to engage students and promote civic pride and participation.
Voting will be open from January 5 through January 23, allowing community members to help select the artwork that will be featured on future “I Voted” stickers used during elections in Washington County.

The contest is open to Washington County residents who are currently enrolled in kindergarten through 12th grade, including home-schooled students. Student artwork is grouped into four categories to ensure age-appropriate competition:

Future Voter
Elementary School
Middle School
High School

The “I Voted” Sticker Art Contest encourages young residents to express what voting and civic engagement mean to them while fostering early awareness of the democratic process. The Board of Elections is proud to showcase the creativity of Washington County’s students and to involve the community in selecting the winning designs.

Residents are encouraged to review the submissions and cast their votes by visiting the online survey.

Voting will close at 11:59 p.m. on January 23. Winning designs will be announced following the close of the voting period.
