In honor of Historic Preservation Month, Washington County is excited to announce the launch of the “Love Historic” campaign. The campaign invites citizens to share photos of their favorite historic buildings in Washington County to be featured on the county’s website and social media platforms.

Photos will be shared on the Washington County website and across social media throughout Historic Preservation Month, offering a unique opportunity to showcase the county’s historical gems. Participants are encouraged to use the hashtag #washcolovehistoric when sharing their submissions on social media.

Photos must be taken in accordance with federal state and local laws. Photos that violate or infringe upon another person’s rights, including but not limited to copyright, will not be accepted. Photos that contain sexually explicit, nude, obscene, violent or other objectionable or inappropriate content, as determined by the County in its sole discretion, are prohibited. *

Photo Release: By submitting, I attest that the photo was created solely by me and was taken in accordance with Federal, State and Local laws. I hereby grant Washington County Government permission to use my likeness and/or photograph in any and all publications for Government or nongovernment purposes, including web site entries, without payment or any other consideration in perpetuity. I understand and agree that these materials will become the property of the Washington County Government and will not be returned. I hereby irrevocably authorize the Washington County Government to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish or distribute this photo for purposes of publicizing the Washington County Government's programs or for any other lawful purpose. In addition, I waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written or electronic copy, wherein my likeness appears.
